Asian Scene- Mohit Chauhan in Kenya, 4th November- The Star

Mohit Chauhan is a Bollywood’s most wanted singer especially after giving his vocals to the mega-hit songs of the film Rockstar for the actor Ranbir Kapoor and music director A R Rahman. However the singer was under exposed and didn’t receive a mega audience at the Safaricom Kasarani Indoor Arena on Saturday 1st November night. The show was organized by Mani Productions who, had put every effort possible but the turn out was low and to call themselves the “2nd Voice of God” while running an AV for their sponsors was a little pompous. Feedback from the audience was something like this “we are here only for a night out”, “more ushers than audience” and “too far venue and overdoes of shows”. The emcees for the night were East FM’s drive time show duo Riya Sharma Shah and Vikas Pattni who bravely put on a good stand. The opening act was by the Top 5 singer of Star Voice of India, Ameeka who unfortunately didn’t carry off the personality and was caught many a time to miss her lip-syncing. So ultimately it was the talent in Mohit Chauhan, his popular songs and even he was just moving on to be a professional and sing his songs one after the other, that was the star of the night.

I disagree with ur review on mohits show. Cause it was an amazing show hosted by mani production crew as compared to taz show which had even a lower turnout of people. U seemed to have only written negatives of mohit show. While overall it was a much better show than taz comparing ur review of both the shows u seem very biased.

Dear Sonia, Thanks for your comment. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. My review didn’t compare Mohit’s show to any other show. What happened at the show is what I wrote about. Mani productions did over organize and unfortunately it didn’t work in their favor. Mohit’s Chauhan as a singer still remained great in his part.

Why are if comments to other shows biased. U only looked at the negative side of the show. Why did I not see the negative side of taz or any other show??? So does that mean ur articles are all full of lies? Cause clearly u only point the postives of a certain company from what I noticed reading ur articles. Or is it that u work for a certain company only?

I ask the question cause I have been reading your articles. But after what I read on this article of Mohit chohan and I personally was there. I felt you were very biased.
We should be encouraging the youngers trying to do something for a change in favor to us as audience. But instead your article has nothing good to say.

Sonia you seem to be advocating and supporting the event organisers disorganisation! And just to jog your memory if you did attend the Arijit show they had the same problem. The artist in both cases were good but it’s the organisation which fails! And an event is successful when everything falls in place – audience, organisation, performers, sound! Just by bringing an artist does not mean anyone can become an event organiser – there’s the professionals and then there are the cowboys!

I think you keep missing the positive side of the show “Mohit Chauhan.” As for the rest of your comments/questions it’s seems you have an agenda that you need to be settled. You are getting personal and accusing me of being a liar. I never got personal with anybody so please see what you are saying.

Once again “Mohit Chauhan” did his part excellently as an artist, however the rest didn’t add up. Incase you haven’t realized criticism is a part of learning and promoters are in public eye and this is part of their scope of work, just like mine. I am taking your criticism as best I can. Since you say you were there, you have every right to say you enjoyed the show no matter what, that’s your opinion.

Once again Neha i have nothing personal towards or for anyone…
