Asian Scene- EARB Holds Kirtan Day, 4th November- The Star

The East African Ramgarhia Board hosted 12 Sikh Groups or Jathas as they are known from Nairobi, Makindu and Nakuru on Sunday 26th October at the Ramgarhia Sikh Temple Pangani Nairobi to mark the installation of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib in the Hazur Sahib Amritsar Temple in India over 300 years ago.

This day is especially importance because the Siri Guru Granth Sahib is considered the 11th Guru and the guidance with which the Sikh community continues. It was a full day function and the people trickled in from time to time.
