“The 21st Century is a century of change and we live in a global village which is interconnected,” said Bhai Sahib Mohinder Singh Ji who was the Chief Guest at the opening of the Khalsa Schools on Sunday 23rd August at South C Nairobi.
The management of the Siri Guru Singh Sabha Nairobi only recently gained back the Khalsa School which has seen many generations of Sikhs study their Primary education and use the school for cultural and language learning activities. The school has started their Kindergarten and the education is British based and designed on the concept on the ethos of multi-faith. Bhai Sahib Ji signed the visitors’ book first and was awarded the pen as a memento symbolizing knowledge. The function was well attended by generations of Khalsa School students and with a new look and uniform it definitely was a new beginning.
Bhai Sahib Ji has been a champion of multi-faith and even in Birmingham England he succeeded in opening a school after persuading the British Government for nearly ten years. His mentor and example to humanity remains the Son of Africa, Nelson Mandela.
