On Sunday 19th April, this ceremony of cleaning the new coliseums and idols and preparing them for their new place involved the prayers using fire and herbs. There was chanting of prayers with the playing of the traditional flute known as Shehnai and the drum known as Dhol. The devotees had come in large numbers dressed in their full traditional attire of silk sarees, tops and the red tilak on their foreheads.
