Charity is not an easy task, you need a big heart to give. “Collecting money is hard, giving money is easy, make sure you bring your compassion into action” concluded Dr Manu Chandaria in his vote of thanks on Friday 4th April at the Lohana Mahajan Mandal.
The Lohana Ladies Circle decided to celebrate their 25 years of the club by giving back to the society. The four recipients were Leisure Rondwe Jalaram Girls School, Mombasa, The Flying Doctors Society of Africa, Lions Sightfirst Eye Hospital and Jalaram Medical Services. The major donors were Prime Bank and I & M Bank. There were many breakthrough stories, including the success from The Flying Doctors Society of Africa where they are breaking records in giving women back their dignity with fistula repair operations. Lions Sightfirst Eye Hospital has done 650 eye transplants since starting 4 years ago. Leisure Rondwe Jalaram Girls School, Mombasa has given girls a chance to educate and have a chance in life. The Chair Lady Kamal Kantaria also gave a very detailed and inspiring speech, which concluded “team work makes the dream work”.
