The Hindu Religious and Service Centre honored donors from all over the country on Sunday 23rd March at the Ram Mandir for their 10 years of dedication to the Tree Planting project. This environment friendly exercise has planted over hundreds of thousands of trees and the number just keeps going up. Attending the function was Hon. Sunjeev Kaur Birdi, MP (Nominated) who thanked the donors and the HRSC for their commendable job and reiterated that the Jubilee Government remains committed to having a beautiful country and maintain a balanced eco-system. “Initiatives like these keep the country moving forward and I am in office for another 4 years so let’s get to work as a community and continue to do good work,” she said.
Chagganbhai Shah who has been a big contributor financially also mentioned that “starting a tree planting exercise was no easy task but it has been fulfilling for all of us and especially Mother Earth.” Meanwhile Shantibhai Shah also spoke of the other successful programme for feeding school children in different parts of the country, where they plan to feed 10,000 children by the end of 2014.
