The Pearl Karoga was back and this time a few changes. It was now held on Sundays in the afternoon and the first round began on Sunday 2nd March. This East FM fun cooking party idea, was appreciated by many and continues to have many more fans. The atmosphere at the Mystique Gardens was fun, hot with the weather and fiery with the desire to win. Each East FM presenter had a team composed of listeners, friends and food lovers and they had to make one dish using Pearl Rice, one vegetarian dish using Raka Paneer and fish or chicken. There were simple to elaborate and spicy to easy tasting dishes submitted to the judges who did have a difficult time since the spirit to win and enjoy was high.
