History was created when KCB Guru Nanak Rally 2013 champion Baldev Chagger and his co-driver Ravi Soni beat Ian Duncan and co-driver Amar Slatch by just 4 seconds on Sunday 6th October. This rally went through major routes of Naivasha and finished in awesome style at the Sikh Union Club, Nairobi. Baldev is the 2nd Sikh to win this Guru Nanak Rally since 1969’s win by Joginder Singh. The entire Kenya National Rally Championships and the sponsors captured this great moment. Also present was Hon. Sunjeev K Birdi, MP who asked the audience to stand for a minute of silence to honor those gone and under trauma from the Westgate Attack. She also announced that the rally fraternity had raised 2million shillings to be given to M.P. Shah Hospital for their contribution to the grave tragedy. Rally driver Carl Tundo thanked his fellow drivers and said that the MPESA account will remain open till Saturday to continue to make whatever difference possible.
