You could argue that Lord Buddha was a super human, whatever the case his birth, life and miracles are reason for celebration. Saturday 31st August director Rashmita Shah, produced, directed and choreographed a musical dance drama titled “The Legend of Buddha” at the Oshwal Centre. In many ways it was mystical and a great effort especially with many dancers being between the ages of 4 to 11 years old. They may not have been professionally trained dancers, but due credit goes to their courage. The show’s team was dominated with several performances under the UV light, which was something new for the audience especially with a deep subject such as “The Legend of Buddha” and the anklets made up for the happy spirit of Lord Buddha’s never ending passion for life. The outstanding sequence was that where they depicted the meeting of Lord Buddha and his wife Yasodhara.
