Ever since doing this column, I have seen a few “arangetram” or graduation dances and none comes close to the heart warming, fantastic one as such for Prachi Savani on Sunday 4th August at the Oshwal High School Nairobi auditorium. The Savani family included Sailesh and Mehul is famous for their talented genes in singing, acting and creating great work of art and Prachi didn’t let them down. She finally received her graduation certificate from her teacher or Guru, Kamini Thakkar after a grueling but admirable 12 dances performance. She showed much grace, poise, expression and was happy and enjoying her dances.
The stage was decorated with rich colors of yellow, green, orange and full of roses and the performance also included a shadow dance and live singing and dancing mix. All these new ideas came from the family and as the teacher Kamini put it “these were an expression of love, Prachi as a student has been a sponge, go-getter and like a butterfly is everywhere and a great human being”. Prachi thanked all her family, friends and supporters and is off for further studies to university.
