The mega-hit music of the film Devdas by Ismail Darbar will remain forever the most played for Indian Classical Shows around the world. Kamini School of Dancing presented a beautiful rendition of rain, time and love at the Oshwal Centre Auditorium on Sunday 21st April. The show was sponsored by the Lohana Mahajan Mandal and received a packed audience and proud parents.
The dancers had clearly worked hard for over three months and danced to songs including “Megha Re” from the film “Lamhe” and the entire soundtrack of Devdas. The average age of the girls dancing was fifteen and you could see the difference in confidence, the older girls were nearly flawless mostly because of years of practice. The audience gave a thunderous applause to the final act, which culminated all the dancers filling up the stage with their colourful, shining outfits, singing anklets and their gracious moves. While the songs from Lamhe lacked oomph the dancers more than made up for it in the Devdas songs. Kamini remains humble and her team, audience and sponsors are her winners’, this is her signature and personality that continues to see many parents see their daughters showcase their dancing talent.
