Our grandparents rarely get a chance to go out for a brunch. As fashionable as it sounds, it was simple and sweet on Sunday 17th March at the Visa Oshwal Mahajandwadi Nairobi. This was a brunch organized by the Oshwal Senior Citizens Committee and there were two reasons. The first was to get the senior citizens together for a brunch made up of “ghatia, jalebi and khicdhi” and the second was to sign them up for their Easter Holiday treat. I am envious of this community’s effort to bring the elderly together and give them small but sweet fortunes of fun. They take the time and effort to do this, congratulations. Thus, the Senior Citizens will be travelling for an Easter holiday to Mombasa. This is part of their regular outings that include Naivasha, Karura Forest and lots of other local places and entertainment activities.
