The Hindu Council of Kenya organized at short notice the opportunity for the Deputy Prime Minister of Kenya and Presidential candidate for the forthcoming elections and flag bearer of Jubilee Coalition, Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta at the Oshwal Centre, Nairobi on Wednesday 30th January.

At present were key members of the Hindu Council of Kenya, Oshwal Community, various business owners and general Asian public. In addition, Mr Najib Balala and Mr William Ruto joined the address to give their few words to the Asian community to come out and participate now more than ever in a General Election that is important not only to them, to the Asians, to all other parties and Presidential candidates and yes the people of the country. This was not biased to any political party and the Hindu Council of Kenya invites others to address the community as part of their election campaigning.

As one of the leading contributors of the country’s economy sitting on the political fence it was time to become more active especially in the new type of Government and further build the country together. Ms Sonia Birdi, was present and acknowledged as an example by the honorable guests for putting her foot forward and creating a representation as an Asian woman for the community.

Their key message was representation and vote for your choice to participate in the forthcoming General Elections.
