Don’t Panic, Here’s a Few Fuel Saving Tips (Harleen’s Blog)

04 May

In the face of the current and hopefully almost over fuel shortage, you may want to keep the following tips in mind:

Regular Checks-

Make sure you check the air filter. The more clogged the slower you will go.

Maintain a reasonably clean engine.

After a fill up, see that the fuel cap is properly screwed.

Tyre pressure should never be under inflated.

Use the correct oil.

When Driving-

Drive slowly, preferably in high gear and don’t accelerate or brake too hard. Drive more like a trailer.

Don’t over-rev.

Reduce or switch off the air conditioning.

Keep the windows closed and use the car’s internal ventilation system.

Turn off the engine if you are in a jam.

Some Extras-

Car pool.

Avoid Rush Hour.

Avoid excess weight in the car.

Drink water, as it helps to keep you focused.
